Security
We operate secure drop off and pick up system, to ensure that your baby/child is protected, parents are requested to provide photograph's of other family members who may pick up your child. We also ask for passwords and dates of birth. If the person is unknown to nursery staff and they cannot identify themselves, we will not hand your child over under any circumstances.
The nursery operates a secure finger print system, which allows parents to gain access to the nursery after signing a contract over the srict rules to be adhered to. This gives parents the chance to see their child playing and to feel more part of the nursery. We have the right to remove parents from this system if we feel that they pose a health and safety risk.
CCTV is in operation throughout the nursery. All areas the children use are constantly being recorded. This gives piece of mind to both parents and staff. Our CCTV is a top of the range digital system, constantly recording all cameras. www.qrsltd.co.uk

All staff who work in the kitchen have attended Food Hygiene training. www.drtraining.co.uk

Nursery takes part in the designed to smile campaign which is a national programme to improve the dental health of children in Wales. Children from two years are provided with the equipment to brush their teeth everyday. Younger babies use brushes from home. Babies and children brush teeth once a day at nursery. www.designedtosmile.co.uk

Outdoor Play
We understand the importance of outdoor play, allowing children to have fresh air during every session if possible, we try to have outdoor play in most weathers, wrapping up warm when needed and applying plenty of sun-cream in hot weather. we ask parents to provide wellies and have spare waterproof coats so we can enjoy fresh air even in the rain.
Our outside play area has a large clear area for freedom of movement. The children play out every day, usually twice a day. Many of our activities are used outside in fine weather. The area is secure with fencing and a gate which is kept locked. We have safety rubber flooring on the play area to help prevent injuries, which is covered by fake green grass which is clean and bright all year round.
First Aid
First aiders are always on duty. We encourage our staff to attend Emergency First Aid in Paediatrics, by offering training with a training provider who carries out training at the nursery. All staff are paid to attend this training event. www.marton.co.uk
We have finger trap guards on all our fire doors, to prevent injury.
